Every two years, Highland Park High School sports a week-long extravaganza of arts and performance called Focus on the Arts. For one week, our school is teeming with drummers, bands, artists, movie producers, actors, theater companies, and television people, preforming in every open space for students five, six, and seven at a time. I tend to go back and forth. Sometimes I would agree, but most of the time, they suck nut just like every other fascist, opressive, soul-less public high school in the country.

Well, we're not that cool, Stefanie was going to come visit me this Friday, but when I went to get the paperwork, Dean Lawrence told me that all visitors have to live more than 30 miles away. I asked him, "what is the merit of such a rule?" and he said, "I guess it doesn't have any, in the long term."

So maybe your administration isn't quite as cool (and slightly reminiscent of Catch-22, though that could just be me), but I'm willing to bet that as a whole, Highland Park exceeds Lake Forest in fucking awesomeness. Lake Forest has some similarly retarded administrators, ask me for stories...and why can't you just give Stefanie a fake address and pretend that she lives more than 30 miles away?

I invented scamming Focus out of food, idiot. And I had lots of Chipotle, which made me gassy. But on the third day, they had tiramisu from Gabriel's in Highwood, which was AMAZING. So, I'm better than you.
