difference is .... I guess I'd have to see
more of it... Kinda different than seeing
the source for MS Word ... hrmmmmm...

Well, seeing as MS Word allows you to create documents how you see fit, whereas LaTeX is a typesetting tool that allows you to create a document using a specific format... there are quite a few differences. Also, you are not supposed to write Word docs aws source. LaTeX you do.
