in my family the adults draw names and you are required to post a list of things you would like, before thanksgiving, to help out your gift-giver. i hate it when i get one of the men-folk. even with a list, i usually don't know what the hell i'm looking for. shotgun shells and hunting crap. this year i drew the one sister i have nothing in common with. her list? folding chairs. that's it. no other help, whatsover. i have not been excited about buying folding chairs, so they have not been purchased. i asked her daughter what els she might like. the answer was angels and she used to be into candles. you would think this is the season to find angels. not so much. she is the last person on my list to buy for. tell me, how do you wrap a folding chair?

Gift cards are always appreciated. At least by me. But if you can't come up with something specific for a guy- gift cards to home depot, bass pro shops or barnes & noble are always an idea. Of course, these days I always have two lists of gifts, the stuff I'd really like(hobby stuff, games, fun things) and the stuff I might actually get(clothes, tools for yardwork, boring stuff)
