Life Drawing

Feb 06, 2007 19:51

It's been way too long since I last posted so I've finally gotten around to photographing my life drawing efforts to date. I'm four weeks into the course at the Art Academy in Southwark and am enjoying it immensely.

Many thanks. The disappearance of line is something the teacher emphasised last week but I guess up until now we've been having to use line to define our shape/structure.

I never took the creative track in school (after an art teacher who just didn't like me) but always loved doing creative stuff. This year I decided that I wanted to focus my efforts a bit more. I'm also working on some digital comic colouring which I shall show on my LJ soon. Being the comic geek that I am, a dream of mine is to somehow get published in the comic medium.

Good stuff! I have another friend who makes a living drawing portraits and I'm always impressed at the skill involved so it will be good to follow your progress.

Thanks. LJ seems like an ideal place to post these sort of updates. I look forward to keeping them up to date and looking back every week or so to see how I am progressing.
