Lena snorted, "I'm not going to be the first to get in. You can have that honor."
She knew perfectly well that the lake liked to stay a cool temperature even if it was warm outside. She'd dove in many an occassion to icy water which almost made me scream.
Callie walked over to the lake cautiously, her hair up in a messy bun. She was wearing a white wifebeater shirt and ragged cutoff shorts she had made herself over her favorite blue bikini. She looked around for Max, and smiled when she saw him, slipping her feet out of her sandals and pulling off her shirt.
Max dunked his head in the cool water and whipped his head up. His blonde hair flew back along with his head and he caught sight of Callie. A very large grin spread across his face.
"Hey, beautiful!" he called out, not shy at all for some reason.

She was still wearing shorts and a tank top over her light blue, strapless bikini, but pulled off her shirt.
"I invited quite a few people, but it's hard to tell who will show up."
She threw her towel onto the ground and laid it out. She sat down on it and stretched.
"Beautiful day, though."
She grinned at Max and tied her long brown hair into a ponytail.

"I bet the water is warm," he said, looking over at the lake now.
