An involuntary grin spread across Callie's face as she read the note. She sniffed the flowers, practically squealing with delight. She tucked one of them behind her ear and pulled out a quill and a piece of parchment.

Callie folded the paper expertly into a neat little paper crane and tapped it with her wand. It flapped its little wings and made it over to Max's dorm while she skipped down to the common room.

Max sighed in relief when the paper crane came his way. After reading his, he practically raced down to the common room.

"Hey beautiful," he murmered, wrapping his arms around her waist from behind. "Wanted to turn me down in person?"

"You think I could ever turn a guy like you down?" Callie said with a grin, twisting her neck so her lips could meet his in a kiss.
