The next time Trowa checks his mail, he'll find his messaging system has been pinged by colony.server.X39FH. Normally, this would look like the computer was searching for a connection with a private line, and had disconnected when the wrong user was reached

That explains some things. (And raises other questions.)

Trowa studies his computer screen for a long moment, eyes narrowed. Then he pulls up the phone function, and makes a call.

It's the middle of the night in Sanc. Une's number goes to voicemail.

"Found him," Trowa says to the beep, calmly. "He's okay. Arranging clean-up now."

He hangs up, and calls another number.

Zechs is currently monitoring the restricted line. Unlike the various Command private lines, this one is easier to get an answer on.

He picks up the receiver before it's finished the first ring.

'Lightning. State your identification and authorization code.'

"Lion," says the calm voice on the other end, and rattles off a string of numbers.

'Acknowledged and verified.' Zechs has a good head for numbers. 'Report, Lion.'
