I am with you 110%. I just feel sorry for those poor KKK people. They have NO idea if we got rid of *ALL* the minorities in the United States, their sorry butts would be out too. I mean, unless they were here when the buffalo freely roamed ... they ain't native. ;)

while I respect and understand your views and I CERTAINLY dont agree with this college group, I dont agree with yours entirely either.

A soldier who puts on a uniform is a soldier. if he does something heroic, then hes a hero. Not to say that enlisting is not honorable and to be disrespected in any way, but our society as a whole seems bent on making sure that everyone feels "special" without really understanding it IMO. as a result EVERYONE feels that they are "entitled" to something just for simply "Being."

Heroism used to mean something more "above and beyond" and I'd like to see it go back to that.

Please dont kill me.
and as for the KKK, I pity them. They refuse to live in the world as it is.. if they are so against a country that is essentially a melting pot of cultures: Go find an island somewhere and start their own country.

If it were simply their point that not every soldier is a hero, I would have no issue, but that is not the extent of their agenda. They go so far as to espouse the opinion that all soldiers are murderers and are killing innocent people by simply being soldiers. I've stated I agree that not all soldiers are heroes, but they are not all murderers and this group does OPENLY claim this.

They are nothing more than a Hate Group, pure and simple. They deserve no more respect for their opinion than do the KKK or Aryan Nation.

Respect is one thing, but silencing political speech, no matter how ignorant or hateful, is another matter entirely. As long as a group does not use its speech to incite violence, it has a free voice.

Of course, that is the public sphere. Granted, FB is a private entity and can pursue whatever path it chooses in this matter. Trolling or online harassment may cross a free speech threshold. Being stupid or aggravating, however, does not.

I am very sympathetic to your position: however, I am more uncomfortable with the notion of silencing another group just because the majority disagree with its views, no matter how loathsome or reprehensible those views may be. This is too important a principle to be set aside in the course our political discourse.

All of which is respectfully submitted.

Facebook has a ToS that explicitly prohibits hate groups or groups that openly attack others.

We're just going to have to respectfully agree to disagree here.

I prefer to let everyone speak. As far as I am concerned, the only thing idiots will establish by speaking is the depth and breadth of their idiocy.
