Because other people are doing it and it's a slow nice

The "grown up" meme. After the cut.

1. What bill do you hate paying the most?
Student loans. They edge out car insurance (on four vehicles >.>) by $20 a month.

2. Where was the last place you had a romantic dinner?
Romantic dinner? Technically never. Dinner with someone I was romantically interested in? Last January. I came down with food poisoning that night. Fun week. I still don't like Outback's steaks. :P

3. What do you really want to be doing right now?
I'd love to be camping somewhere. Midnight hike sounds right up my alley right now.

4. How many colleges did you attend?
One. Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, KS.

5. How many did you graduate from?
One. Barely thanks to a poor grade in my physics II class. Pulled my ass out of the fire with the final! :]

6. Why did you choose the shirt that you have on right now?
It fits, it's clean, it's professional and I look sexy in a black polo. ;)

7. What are your thoughts on gas prices?
If they were lower I'd consider replacing the Malibu and Cherokee with a newer Cherokee.

8. First thought when the alarm went off this morning?
Should have gone to bed 10 minutes early. At least it's not Monday.

9. Last thought before going to sleep last night?
I was wide awake. Wondering if I should let go or give chase.

10. Do you miss being a child?
Honestly... not really. Sure, adulthood is a lot of work, but now I have money to use on the things I really like to do. Gotta work to play, I suppose.

11. What errand/chore do you despise?
Cleaning my room.

12. Get up early or sleep in?
Sleep in, but a steady work schedule has me snapping awake at 7 am, then 8, then 9. By the time ten rolls around, it's a real bitch to get back to sleep.

13. Have you found real love yet?
I have, twice now. My heart still lies elsewhere.

14. Favorite lunch meat?
Ham!

15. What do you get every time you go into Wal-Mart?
Usually just a hair cut. Otherwise dremel tool pieces, minor clothing. This and that.

16. Beach or lake?
Lake. Better hiking grounds. Otherwise, I really don't care to play in the water. Too impatient for fishing and I never found swimming terribly fun. :P

17. Do you think marriage is an outdated ritual?
No, not really. Although anymore it seems like more of a benefit. I could happily have a permanent relationship and not be married. As far as I'm concerned, I'd only do it for the tax break.

18. Sopranos or Desperate Housewives?
Neither. I don't watch much TV.

19. What famous person would you like to have dinner with?
Can't say there's anyone I'd really idolize and want to meet. But to throw out a name, Kate Beckinsale. Just because she's cute.

20. Have you ever crashed your vehicle?
Tagged a deer once. Otherwise I've been lucky.

21. Ever had to use a fire extinguisher for its intended purpose?
Once, but it wasn't really needed. Small exhaust fire on a Jeep we were trying to start.

22. Ring tone?
One that sounds like a phone ringing. Seems like a foreign concept anymore.

23. Strangest place you have ever brushed your teeth?
At the dentists office. Am I not paying them to clean my teeth?

24. Somewhere in California you've never been and would like to go?
Norcal. Beautiful area.

25. Do you go to church?
Nope. Not religious.

26. At this point in your life would you rather start a new career or a new relationship?
New career, hands down. I like my job, but there's other things I'd rather do.

27. How old are you?
23

28. Do you have a go-to person?
Generally, I am the go-to person. Yay!

29. Are you where you want to be in life?
No, not close, but I'm working on it. Progress is just going to be slow.

30. Growing up, what were your favorite cartoons?
Looney Toons, Road Rovers, SWAT Kats. I can't think of many more off the top of my head. My memory kinda sucks.

31. What about you do you think has changed the most?
My perspective on my goals in life. Damn near turned a 180.

32. Looking back at high school, were they the best years of your life?
Yes and no. Socially they damn near wrecked me. Professionally they were amongst the most prosperous.

33. Are there times you still feel like a kid?
I think I still act like a kid, yes. When I mentored the robotics team they admitted that I acted a lot like them. >.>

34. Did you ever own troll dolls?
No, my mom did, however.

35. Did you have a pager?
Yes, it's still sitting around somewhere, in fact.

36. Where was the hang out spot when you were a teenager?
Some friends of mine had built a hang out in the woods behind our neighborhood along the creek. Basically it's where they'd go to smoke pot.

37. Who do you think impacted your life the most?
It seems kind of pathetic to say, but I'd say a big governing force has been some of the people I've met online. But to pick one, I think I'd have to settle on the lead mentor of the robotics program when I was in high school. He really opened up the door to engineering for me and gave me many opportunities.

38. Was there a teacher or authority figure that stood out for you?
Read above.

39. Do you tell stories that start with “when I was your age”?
I have every now and then. I find it amusing. :]

40. What is the last beverage you consumed?
Water.
