Much like you, I enjoyed Robert Brownings' poem "The Last Duchess" better than the sonnet we studied in class from Elizabeth's "Sonnets from the Portuguese". However, the sonnet you have provided is quite lovely, so thanks. Normally I am not very comfortable reading love poetry, I often find myself embarrassed by it. Perhaps I am disillusioned by love poetry and how sincere it could trying be or maybe the emotions are too intense when love poetry is written well, as in the case of Elizabeth Browning's poetry. In these cases it feels as though I shouldn't be reading such things, as if I am being a voyeur or something. Do you ever get that feeling?

I think moreover, that Yoko's naked body should have been exempt from all John's work...haha.

Wonderful post Lesley-anne, I particularly enjoyed how you compared the Brownings to Yoko and John :) The sonnet was lovely as well and I agree that it was better than the one we had to read, although that is only my humble opinion :) Ciao,
