I finished reading Bret Easton Ellis' American Psycho and watching the movie by the same title.

I feel hollowed out.

i like the black humor of the film. generally, i don't like slash and gash, and i didn't read the book, but the movie has it's moments. the moments i didn't turn away from the screen, anyway! *snort* christian bale was excellent.

I actually enjoyed both, although either can induce if one is not careful a pessimistic nihilism. I suggest watching one Merchant-Ivory production before going to bed.

I couldn't figure out if everything actually happened or if he imagined it all. Either way, a freaky film.

I think it all happened and he was in with such a powerful group that they just covered it all up to keep themselves away from the trouble.
