Couldn't agree more and I am still so disgusted and cannot stand to hear any excitement about the show. A waste of great potential I hope the writers are embarrassed. They should be.

i mean cuddy aside, house is where he was in season one. there was absolutely no character growth then and since the writers dont want that anyway and want to keep him miseralbe and alone, i'll move on.
besides without cuddy ... idk... there is no hope left.

yet, I'm gonna probably watch. I think... don't know what it is exactly I'll look for, even less what I'll get, but I think I owe it to myself.
the difference is, I'm going to be definitely less obsessed by the possible impacts and meanings of the storylines.

There will be a House of 1 to 7, and after that, and we will always feel as truly would have been conceived history.

so House season 8, imo, is going to be an attempt at reviving the magical times where House was a total jerk, but a loveable one. Except, since they've already strayed into too much inconsistencies and dead-ends storylines at this point, I'm not expecting it to be any less than laborious, even though probably full of good-intentions...
