I've stood on that spot and watched a train. The noise frightens me though. I like the silence and the emptiness of night, the freedom to be me and not be stared at or feel like melting away in the sun. Everything is different at night. Aren't you done with those papers yet? You need to be, before you go insane.

That sounds very nice. Wondering around during the night hours is always nice.

The trains are really amazing. A lot of times, I love walking under the Metra tracks toward the lake on 55th and 57th St. The rumble of the trains right above is really really cool and makes me feel like I'm in the city. The bridge at Tiffin gave me the same feeling. Thanks for taking me out there.

Definitely go on late night walks. I miss doing that here because the area around just isn't safe enough, but it's such a great feeling. It makes me feel like a normal human rather than just an intellectual machine when I walk at night. I feel so anonymous to everyone else, and yet so enlightened into my own personality and feelings.
