I recently read a book about midwifery in which the crone character had a special relationship with a white doe who seemed to be a manifestation of Mary.
I hope deeply for this fawn's survival. I'm glad to read that she's taken to the bottle.
Hello. My name is Siobhan. I'm an old friend of teahakoe's. We go much farther back than we've spent in these bodies, she and I.
A few years ago we lived in the woods and were graced with a visit from a stag who was mostly white in our garden. We saw many of his offspring...with white patches in different spots.
that book sounds really interesting.
So I find out that this story is old...but the grace of the wee one...that doesn't change.
The old story is in a constant state of beginning...
The book is called The Birth House. I don't recall the name of the author, but I certainly recommend keeping your eyes open for it. I'm sure you'll find it on a random shelf somewhere.
