Waking-up is the first miracle of the day.

The rain is drumming, constant and hypnotic; the clouds trying, in vain, to hold back the dawn.  The world outside my window is a painting of horizontal brush-strokes...the pointy black of the tree line below layers of steel-blue, pewter and indigo.  The sky moves steadily to the northeast, with an occasional tear that shows a lighter silver above.

Must remember to check out Jane's website at home and have a listen to her music. No speakers for me here at work :-(

And being a new friend, I want to ask about Willo...who is she to you and how do you assist her??

Willo is my (incredible) adult daughter/friend (27) who is in her tenth year of dealing with chronic Lyme disease. She began to get ill after being bitten on a camping trip just before turning eighteen. It was her first travels after graduating (a 'running start' program of last year of high school and first year of college) and it was a major trip she had been invited on, by Native American Elders ( ... )

Hi Willo!! *waves*

I watched a documentary about Lyme disease not too long ago...and have had to deal with doctor's thinking I was having psychosomatic seizures, so I know where you are coming from.

Mmm, I really do love the way you can convey the spirits of Nature through your words. 'tis a wonderful thing, to get a little piece of such a beautiful morning scene through my computer screen ^x^ I like your style & flare.

My heartfelt support to you and Willo. It's such a hard road you're on, but you have my sincere admiration for being able to make it through despite all the idiocy of the medical community and the trials, while keeing a good head on your shoulders.

Thank you darlin'...I'm laughing 'cos of a memory...a friend drew a caricature of me once...as a giant Qualude! For those of you not hippie-aged...that was a muscle-relaxant...that could take you to the river!

We dance on a little blue ball, spinning in space at some 1,700mph...towards certain death. It's all crazy...and magic...no matter what the struggle (oh baby, we all got those) and we can co-create it into whatever we want.

Anybody who wants to show some support for Lyme sufferers can go to...
www.lymediseaseassociation.org On the homepage you will find a link to sign a petition that will help us in the fight for recognition.

I met a holy monk once...in the guise of a New Yawk Customs Official at Kennedy Airport. With people milling about I said to my partner, "This is crazy," and this beautiful spirit boomed...
"SHOR IT'S CRAZY...IT'S NEW YAWK...HAVE A GOOD TIME!!"

We are the sum of our experiences in survival...and honey...I'm woikin' the numbahs! ;)

Hey :) I deleted a comment cos I got an answer to my question above ^^ Don't know if you get email notifications or not.

I've heard of Lymes... think there's a lot of misdiagnosis between it and ME/CFS. Your story sounds a familiar one to me. I am glad your daughter has improved the last couple of years! It's a massive battle with any chronic illness, especially when it hits you that hard.

Do let me know about the herbs re:die off though! Or ask me if you don't get emails about comments :)

Love and sparkles for a beautiful day! :)

Ps. I always wanted to call a son 'Willow'. My last boyfriend could never get his head around that stemming from the weeping willow being my favourite tree and not my (occasionally obsessive) love of the tv show Buffy the Vampire Slayer :P

The wonderful doc who has been our angel...is so because (finally) he was one who could walk the line in between pharmaceuticals and herbs. So many years of being shot from one side of the canyon to the other...western care...alternative...neither one working on its own. Both Glutathione (sp?) and another one that starts with a Q have been really helpful with the die-off. Ashwagandha has been helpful for the adrenals. She's also gone through the Dr. Klinghart's de-tox program. The probiotics really help put some decent flora back in her intestines.

I do get emails about comments...but I've got a number of writing projects going, recording project, and caregiving...so I'm in and out a lot.

Thanks darlin'...right back atcha! Maya
