RIP, Sarah Jane.

A talented and classy lady who brought the Dr. Who franchise into the 20th century with regards to its view on women.   Sarah Jane was clever and strong and her character made the ultimate sci fi TV show accessible to all of us.

As a fellow Whovian, I'm equally saddened by this. I never saw her in the Sarah Jane Adventures, but I loved her in the "School Reunion" episode, and the others where she popped up in the new series. That video MADE ME CRY DAMMIT.

Elizabeth Sladen was such a gorgeous woman as she aged...and by all accounts was as lovely in spirit (equally big on the inside, if you will) as she was physically. So sad that cancer took her so young.
