Reposting stories

It has seemed for a while like my LJ posts are not read by too many people (and, so, this one is probably also not being read, LOL) and I have been trying to repost some of my older work on an archive site....but, sadly, the canon ones seem to be withering.   I'm too frustrated with them to keep banging my head on my desk, so I'm boldly wading into ( Read more... )

I am really thinking that the Checkmated ladies need to critically think about their control issues. They went through a period from about 2005-2009 when they were iron-fisted about their own particular characterizations and rejected stories right and left (a view of pre-2005 stories shows that at one point, their quality standards were only a spelling error or two above ff.net) But, now they've lost interest in the site...and still refuse to pass the torch.

It's unfortunate, because a juried, canon-centric archive is a GREAT resource to have. But, I am about to call a time of death on it, sadly.

What is AO3? I don't think I've checked that out and am a bit excited about the prospect of their being some stories that I actually haven't read!

Yeah. I feel bad for the people who are trying to keep the site running like the other Head Boys and Girls. It's tough when people who should be working with you are just getting in the way.

It's archiveofourown. I prefer FF.net to it, to be honest, but this place isn't bad. Very slash and slytherfen oriented on the fandom side though.

I'm totally looking for new stuff! I came to fandom pretty late, so I don't know anyone. But I'm really excited to explore the suggestions above or anything else that people can suggest.
