It was not only a mouse. It was a dead mouse. A dead mouse that died, for no apparent reason, in the middle of the room. Which makes you think of the old brain teaser about the man who's found hanging in the middle of the room with nothing but a puddle underneath him and how did he get there.

How did the mouse get there?

That is what I find disturbing.

Well, it obviously had a heart attack. Why didn't you call an ambulance? You could have saved that poor mouse's life.
