wow, it's been forever since i've been on here. i just finished reading andy greenwald's (writer for spin magazine) "nothing feels good: punk rock, teenagers, and emo" which talked a bit about livejournal and the emo culture which go hand in hand. anyway, it made me feel nostalgic and want to get back on here...so here i am. I am reading this. Hi! This is bizarre and yet, perhaps opportune. I want to read that book now. I looked at it via Amazon and really enjoyed this sentence:
"Or will the internet swallow up these thoughts too, making them even more ideal-solid, but transient-there when we need them and need them to be seen, but gone, eventually, even when the scars have healed".

hey! thanks for responding. you should definately give that book a read. it's kinda written in a pop-culture analysis style like chuck klosterman (he wrote "sex, drugs, & cocoa puffs"; i'm sure you've heard of him, if you haven't, check him out too! he's an amazing writer as well). it's a really insightful book that i think you'll enjoy, and it's especially nostalgia-provoking.
