And at least you don't have to deal with tons of old people who can never hear you, hearing device and all, who keep pointing to good seats and probably choose not to hear us when we tell them we only sell shitty seats I don't know why anyone would buy.

Actually it's a really easy job, but yeah, dealing with cash can be kind of stressful 'cause it's easy to fuck up and we do the counts and such after we're done to make sure we balance. I mean, everytime I work, they hand me a bag of $300-$600 in non-sequential bills and they're like count your money. But still, you worry about fucking up so much that every single transaction you count the money at least 3 times so you don't. Once I ran after people 'cause I gave them an extra dollar. Hahaha...but most of the time I've been right on the money. No pun intended by the way.

also, out of curiosity, do accents and speech impediments and things like that mess up lip reading? i wonder how much harder it is to figure things out if, say, the person has an english accent.
