Tomorrow, neglected journal o' mine, I am going to be paid 8 bucks an hour to go downtown at 6:30 in the morning, put on a GIANT MONSTER HEAD, MONSTER PAWS, and a tie-dyed T-shirt, and walk around handing out flyers to any and all unfortunate attorneys and businessmen who happen to cross my MONSTROUS path on their morning commute

What's a Hafla?

Kind of like a bellydance party, only in a public place w/paid admission (although not necessarily), with performances first and open dance afterwards.

And the only of the above that is absolutely required for it to be a hafla is a gathering of bellydancers dancing :)
