Head squirrels are invisible creatures that gnaw on your niggly brain thoughts at night and make it hard for you to sleep. Tonight I have appear to have a veritable infestation of them, so I decided to give up on trying to sleep and try to do something else for a little while so that the head squirrels get bored and go and nibble on someone else. That's rough chick, I had no idea your hypermobility thing was problematic in daily life.

As for the disabled tickybox, have you talked with your doc about it? I figure as someone who (presumably) deals with many people at different levels of disability, a doc would have a pretty good perspective on that sort of thing. An occupational therapist like Debbie would also probably have a pretty good view of it.

Oh gosh, I didn't realise things were that bad.

I heard an interesting radio programme the other week in which people were described as 'disabled' or 'not yet disabled' which made me think.

one of my best friends (you probably met her at my wedding - she had bright orange hair and lots of tattoos!) suffers from similar issues - hypermobility, alongside of psoriatic arthritis and fibromyalgia and a lot of her experiences ring true with yours. she was diagnosed about 5 years ago, and has long since struggled with the term "disabled". she doesn't see herself as such, yet some days she can't even get out of bed or dress herself, such is the pain of the arthritis and fibromyalgia ( ... )
