Suffer A Witch [1/3]; Sam, Dean, Castiel; PG, no spoilerschibifriezaApril 1 2010, 06:57:26 UTC

It took a little longer than perhaps it should have for them to catch on.
“I hope you rot in Hell, you heinous bitch!” roared Dean as the witch crumpled to the floor. He turned to Sam and Castiel with a triumphantly satisfied look on his face.
Dean hated witches like nothing else; Sam had heard the diatribe a thousand times. He couldn’t say he was fond of them, either, and sometimes, like today, there was nothing for it but to kill them, human or not. He wasn’t sure whether or not to be concerned that neither of them was plagued by guilt over that kind of thing anymore. Apparently, if it’s evil, we kill it had won out over humans aren’t our jobRight now, Sam had a more immediate concern. “What was that flash of light, before she died

He noticed as he booted up that Cas was still standing awkwardly by the door. “Hey, Cas, you know, you might as well sit down.” He waved a hand in the general direction of the beds, since there was only the one chair

This is an impressive piece of work; poetic meter's not easy to work. And you did it all in dialogue! How hard was that? I think I would have cried. XD;;
I like that Dean didn't realize until he couldn't sing in the shower. XD

Thank you! It actually wasn't too bad; the thing about iambic pentameter is that it's not that unnatural a speech pattern, so the things I wanted them to say only took a little tweaking. I think Sam's big long speech about the mechanics of the curse was the most fun, because I was going, can I do this? Can I keep this going? Dude, I totally can. :D
Although you may have noticed that I couldn't actually work "iambic pentameter" into the dialogue, because it's not actually iambic. :P And I did fudge a couple of things, but I figure if Shakespeare can do it, I'm allowed.

Thanks for that prompt. I had so much fun with it, I can't even tell you. :D I'm so glad you like the result.
I kinda want someone to write all the creative cussing Dean ended up doing, because I'm not really the cussing type, but I think it would be hilarious. XD

...you are going to be the death of me. Sequential curse. Different poetic structure/whatever every day for a week, at which point it wears off. Give me seven and I'll do it.
