These are excellent descriptions, so much that I find myself intrigued about Spaced.

It took a while for me to warm up to Tamaki, but you captured the reasons to like him very well, that mix of sweetness and foolishness. Another point of appeal is that Tamaki has got some fairly grand visions when it comes to the things the club does, I admire him for that.

I can't comment much on Tails because I grew up during the cold war between Nintendo and Sega, and around these parts you either had one or the other… well you can guess which one I had :P Though I think now a lot of the Sega games are available through the Wii, so I have no excuse.

Light's seduction of Matsuda is the plot of many great fics ^_^ Yes, he totally has a moment near the end and its fallout is completely glossed over in the anime, whereas the manga gives us both his post-shooting reaction and also that wonderful exchange with Ide in which he's shown to have decent imagination and analytical skills (whether he's wrong or right about Near). It's a really good show. A little surreal, quite thoughtful. It's a little dated in its references (late nineties/early 2000s), but I don't think that's a big hurdle ( ... )

I haven't seen Spaced, but I'm kind of intrigued about the being-lost-and-in-your-twenties aspect!

Oh, yes, I feel like it hits that on the head. I loved it at a kid and it obviously went over my head, then, but watching the DVDs, now, I can feel it.

Me too! Although he's not my fave Sonic character (that would be Knuckles).
