[The Thief Always, Heist 2]
Who: Chizuko Mikamo ("Twenty Faces"), Calleo Crowe, Kallen Kozuki, drone police NPCs, Grady, whoever wants to investigate in the aftermath
What: Twenty Faces' second heist
When: 5/18, in the wee hours of the morning
Where: Mayfield park
The fingernail moon and clouds made the park dark. It was silent, save for the sleepy chatter of keystone cops and the soft coo of pigeons. If drone policemen could get bored with their work, they would have long since, guarding the statue in the park. Week after week, Twenty Faces did not appear. In fact, how he planned to even get the statue off its base was a mystery.
All this time though, one group of creatures clambered on the statue with impunity: the park's pigeons. And for a month, Chizuko had been placing explosive powder on their feet. The birds didn't mind, glad for the grains she gave them.
For a month, they'd been walking with that powder on the statue.
All that remained was for Crowe to scare them off (Chizuko, who had adopted the Twenty Faces moniker from her adoptive father could not bear the idea of sacrificing living creatures for this heist) and to throw something on fire onto the statue.
From there, Kallen and Chizuko would get it out.
