It is ON, Brother! Alphonse claps his hands together to summon a snow hand and... nothing happens.

Cue getting hit in the very surprised face with a snowball.]

[Popping up from the snow and gasping from the cold, he shakes some of the powdery snow from his ears.]

[Ed shrugs and rubs the back of his neck]

All I know is that this place takes away all of your abilities when you get here -- alchemy included. I couldn't use mine for awhile and at first I thought it might have been something like what Father did, but it doesn't just effect alchemy, it effects everything. I have no idea why or how they do it, but they do.

Al looks up at the giant snow hand with wide eyes, before dodging with all the dexterity Teacher would be proud of, and throwing a punch directly at Ed's face.

[And Ed is too busy admiring his handy work to react fast enough. He's still half laughing when Al's fist is flying at him.]

A-AGH!

[He jumps back, managing to dodge the punch in the face, his left shoulder taking the brunt of it. Teacher would be ashamed. So sloppy, Edward.]

He might not be a suit of armour any more with those advantages, but he had been pretty damn good at this back before all that with Teacher.]
