[Zevran's been at Mayfield long enough to suspect that something will happen for Christmas, and that getting whatever they wish for would be no stranger than a lot of other things he's seen! Of course, it's not likely it will be that simple, but it's worth the risk.
Besides, he finds he can't quite help himself in any case...]
I would like my bow and arrows, a case of the finest Antivan brandy, my own blades from home, a new pair of Antivan leather boots, my supply of Crow poisons... [Here there are some dots, as though he tapped his pencil on the page for several minutes as he thought.] ...and some sign that Olivier is well, wherever she is. Or at least something to remember her by.
This was quite the greedy list! But you've been good this year, so here are your requested presents.
Unfortunately, as for Olivier... I'm afraid there are some wishes even I can't grant, my boy.
Merry Christmas,
Santa
Zevran has received every item he requested; however, they come with a few catches. The brandy and poison have switched places, though neither Zevran nor anyone else will be able to tell until they have been used. The weapons will cause him to attempt to murder anyone he sees. The boots are finely-crafted and beautiful, but rather than leather, they seem to have been made out of elf skin. The last item Zevran receives is a tombstone bearing Olivier's name; for the duration of Christmas, he will be unable to see, hear, or otherwise sense her in Mayfield.
Clarification question! If Olivier tries to physically interact with Zevran - specifically, if she tries to restrain him from murdering people with his weapons - what will happen? What will he perceive? Just an invisible force interfering, or will he not even really register the interference at all?
