[Guess who ended up in a costume, but has no idea what it's for. She kind of missed the memo about Halloween. She ended up being something she really likes though! The human version of Indiana Jones!

Kanaya! Do you know why that everyone is dressed in costumes? I do not quite get it, but it seems like fun!

It's fine! chastesaw October 31 2011, 10:57:53 UTC
From what I gather, clothing yourself in costumes and unusual outerwear is the entire purpose of this festival. I can't claim I understand it fully myself, but... yes, fun is something it does seem like.

You look very rugged.

It seems to be a lot of fun! Everyone looks so different.

I really like this outfit! It's like troll Indiana Jones' costume! But I guess his human counterpart. I wonder if they're similar! Do you think it looks good on me?

As a general rule of thumb I can't in good faith say that dirty clothing looks good on anybody, but it does fit you very well and cultivate a certain image.

I wonder if I would be able to keep the clothes! It would be fun to wear this around and be him again. I don't understand why humans need to devote a day to it.

It would just be so much more convenient to wear it whenever you wanted to.

Is there anything that's stopping you from doing precisely that?

I guess it doesn't really occur to me to change from what I usually wear. What I usually wear is good enough right?

It's certainly passable, but I see no reason to settle for "good enough." Then again, I accept that I am an aberration.

I wouldn't know what would be better then "good enough." [You're the only troll who's fashionable, Kanaya. Enlightening the other trolls might not really help either.]

Perhaps you can give me tips or help me out! I might ask the mother unit for some help too!

I might advise against asking the panscrubbed individuals of the town for advice. It wouldn't be very good.

You don't think they'd be able to give good help? Even if she's kind of weird, my mother unit seems very nice.

The unit meant to be related to me as one equal to my status is a little bothersome though.

I believe they would be able to give well-meaning help in their customarily unnerving manner, but it would be borne of the limited knowledge of the era; consequently it might not be altogether effective.

In what manner? All the units in my human hive are occupied by actual captives like us.

It isn't good to be given help of this era?

They ask me to play with them constantly and these strange questions! I guess they are not strange for the average human being of our age, but they are quite strange to me. I can not answer him, and he pesters me for a definite answer.
