I hear ya, friend. I'm not much of a selfie person either, and when I do take a selfie, it's not for the sake of taking a selfie but more for an outfit I put together (regular or cosplay), showing new glasses, etc. I don't like taking pictures of my food either, because I think it's weird

To me, a selfie or photo captures a split second in time and is no real indication of a person. I can take a selfie one second and look great and then look like a mess in the next. So, I've stopped taking them.
That photo is gorgeous! It is the perfect profile pic, IMHO.
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I think people who plaster selfies all over social media are the ones who are the most insecure and the most in need of validation. I prefer people judge me based on what I post or write rather than what I look like.
I think it's a FANTASTIC picture, from an artistic POV, and am green with envy that I couldn't even think of duplicating it!
As for selfies, I don't do them, either. For one thing, I have a very basic smartphone that doesn't have a front (?) camera, just one to take pictures like a regular camera. For another, I don't like being photographed because a) I'm not photogenic, b) I was obese for too long not to be self-conscious of my body, and c) I've disliked taking pictures of "person X in front of location Y" for longer than camera phones even exist. I either snap a location, OR a person/persons. (If the two just happen to merge, okay. Intentionally? Never, ever -- not even on vacation, or when my son was small

Wonderful picture. So very aesthetic. I hate selfies. And fb even more. Only have a fake account to see a few things, but I post nothing personal on it. Their algorithm still hasn't caught the real me and it brings me great joy. :D
My advice: just be you and don't do or post things you're uncomfortable with. It's your profile and everyone else can do their stuff on their on fb. *hugs*
