{Batman(Robin)/NCIS} Counting Down Masterpost
Okay, so.
So this idea is stolen from
franavu 's story here, so go give her kudos, because it's lovely and amazing.
Basically: Tim Drake is a detective with a mind like a steel trap, who is a total computer nerd and has been fighting crime pretty much since he could walk. Tim McGee is an NCIS agent who's a hacking genius, but really, really wants to be a field agent, though he dislikes his gun. Similar, much?
WARNING: Spoilers for through the end of Robin (v2) and up to (but not including) Bruce's...disappearence. And for NCIS, anything up to the end of season 7 is fair game. In Batman Beyond, Tim ends up quitting being Robin (See The Return of the Joker), so we're going with that canon-altering event. Set after Tim is adopted, but before Bruce...goes away.
A lot of NCIS episodes cement this idea for me, and I hereby handwave away all ones that directly contradict it, mmkay? *handwaves*
