I thought about writing a detailed post about my life this past year, with various reflections, but I think I'll pass, mostly because I think I've said enough. The high notes have been high, and the low notes, very low.

Hoping the next year will have improvements with things that need improving, and the good things I've enjoyed will stick around

Justin and I are officially caine-bound. Flying to Toronto and driving to Montreal. :)

I'd told my mom that I was happy that this year I could get presents for everyone, after over 10 years of not being able to. I was looking forward to sitting with everyone and doing that tomorrow morning. Everyone's actually in town, off work, and free this weekend. That's rare for us now ( Read more... )

We've got our anniversary cake thawing out in the kitchen. :)

For all the ups and downs in the past year, it's been one of the best years of my life. I'm happier than I ever remember being. I can't imagine my life without him in it.

... canon artifacts are now Top approval? That's completely idiotic. I've encountered plots in which some artfacts are being used by Global, national has no way of knowing what's going on with these.

5 bucks says a Metachronal Clock appears in both EC or SE and Australia, and that heart artifact from AA shows up in the US and one affiliate.

The memorial service was a nice simple mass. His family is sort of well known and well-to-do in the community, so the place was packed. It was kind of grim where there was a notable lack of coffin or.. yeah, you know. That made it extra hard for many of us. Instead they placed out photos and other things from his life.
