I know you meant to use the color blue in a depressing way, however I've always interpreted it differently. The color blue is a symbol of purity, innocence, and life. In dream and literary analysis the color is often associated with the sky and ocean, both symbols of life and creation. Perry Ferrall, lead singer for Jane's Addiction, once stated that he wanted to be remembered for being blue for those reasons. So I know you mean to use blue as a sad thing, but I will always think of you as being blue of spirit.
