Friends Only

May 02, 2020 11:56

My journal is all friends-only. I want to know who is reading it, and random internet lurkers are kind of creepy. If you want to be added to my friends list, comment here to be added. Tell me something about yourself if I don't already know you, like how you found me. If you don't have a LJ, go sign up, it's free, and doesn't obligate you to ( Read more... )

Hi there. My name is Alison and I'm thinking of trying out EC a bit with my now 8-month old. ntiva suggested I add you to see if maybe you had any tips you'd like to share. :)

ok sure. ;-) I EC'd my first 2 kids, and plan on ECing my 3rd when she's born, although I don't post as much about it as I used to because it's a bit old hat now.

Sure. :-) I don't really use instant messengers (I have ICQ but don't have it turned on much, I'm just not real big on real-time chat). But I'll go add you. :-)

ellen_ tells me that you and I are due with our second children about the same day (any time now! :) ), we both have older boys about the same age, too, and are expecting girls.

So I guess that's enough to start reading you for me :)

Well I'm actually due with my 3rd (I already have a boy and a girl). I don't mind if you want to read me, but I don't read Russian and don't have the patience to try to use Babelfish for posts. So let me know if you still want me to add you. I'm due on July 22, when is your due date?

Hey, I've seen you around Jen's journal for awhile, and popped by here occasionally before you went friends only. Do you mind if I add you?

Have you ever made a sling (I'm thinking wrap style, but might make more than one) for a child? I don't mean a toy sling, I mean a real, weight bearing sling for a helpful older sibling. I'm not sure how to scale down the size to fit a 9 year old or 6 year old... any ideas?

Ever seen Eva's wrap demo? She was 6.5 at the time: http://saplings.us/gallery/v/wrapdemo

I haven't... I've made some experimental slings that didn't work nearly as well as my ring sling though. Maylie's not strong enough to carry a 15 lb baby, much as it would be nice to have a helpful older sibling. ;-) Maybe tahoebean would be able to help, she's really handy with sewing and she probably has done slings before.
