Hugo was awesome! It was very beautiful and the story went in a direction I didn't expect and turned out to be cooler than I anticipated. It was kinda slow, but worth it. As for the 3D part, I saw it in 2D because as friend told me the 3D wasn't that impressive/integral to the story.

The Artist was great, as well. It's a story that's been told many times before (A Star Is Born x3 and Singing in the Rain), but it was done very well and the lead actor was fantastic. Plus the dog, Uggie, was hilarious. It's not for everyone, but people who love movies will like it.

Parks at Paleyfest mayonegg March 18 2012, 22:10:43 UTC
Amy was the sweetest thing ever! To one of the girls trying to get autographs, she was like, "Did you ask as question [during the Q and A]?" and the girls was like, "umm no?" and Amy said, "Aw, I thought I saw your face." Idk, it was just really cute to me.

Getting autographs:
It was right after the end of the panel, the cast stayed to sign and I (politely) elbowed my way over to get Amy's and Retta's! I had my program out for Retta to sign, but Amy swooped in and took it. She smiled sneakily at me, like she knew that it was supposed to go to Retta and signed it. Then I shuffled over to Retta and said that I liked it when she live-tweets TV shows that she's watching and she was like, "Well, what else am I gonna do? Girl's on hiatus!" and then took my program to sign it. It was thrilling!

AND THEN RETTA TWEETED ME BACK!

Partners Taping mayonegg March 18 2012, 22:14:50 UTC
As extra credit for my History of Broadcasting class, I went to the taping of Partners, a pilot for CBS by David Kohan, Max Mutchnick (the creators of Will & Grace, ofc). I also tried to go to the run-thru, but I got lost and ended up in Watts. D:
Anyway, I had a great time (there were these two black gay guys in the audience who were dancing up a storm during the breaks and it was fabulous) and the show was actually pretty good. There were a lot of W&G-esque moments and the humor was really similar. I think it'll do well on CBS. Apparently the show's Q rating is through the roof and is testing really well.
I had some friends who went to the run-thru, too, and they got to see the changes that were made from the run-thru to the pilot. Here's the dirt:
-Sophia Bush's character's assstant was dropped all-together. According to this, she was played by Lucy Davis. My friend said that she was super dull and not funny; her lines were not landing. I'm surprised by that because Lucy Davis is funny, so I'm guessing her style didn't fit with the ( ... )
