So the Republicans in the state of Michigan have rounded up the most evil looking man I have ever seen run for public office. You can't see it in his photographs, but when you actually see him talk in his campaign ads you can see the evil in his face. He was the CEO of Amway, that venerable institution that makes it's money by getting normal

come to either Washington or Massachusetts! depending on how you like your winters, blisteringly cold and bitter, or soak-you-to-the-bone.

i'm just shocked and amazed that conservative politicians are even still trying to win the teaching Intelligent Design in schools fight, it lost so spectacularly in the supreme court case. i think that if i were a highschool student who's science curriculum abruptly switched from evolution to intelligent design, even if i didn't already have a lot of strong opinions on the matter i would really stop taking anything i was taught seriously.
