Summary: Ryutaro wonders, is Yamada JUST Chinen's friend? Or is there more to it?
Notes: Tried to make this as long as my other fics and failed..its actually shorter this time. Enjoy anyways!
Morimoto Ryutaro is just a 15 year old boy, going through an adults problem. He was inlove with his best friend named Chinen Yuri, who already seems to be in a relationship with Yamada Ryosuke, Ryutaro's friend since kindergarten, also know as 'THE RIVAL' in his own world.
But before Yamada became the rival, he and Ryutaro were the best of friends, it even seemed like they were in a relationship, not until Yamada and Ryutaro transferred schools together and met Chinen Yuri. Ryutaro started hanging with him more than Yamada, and then suddenly Yamada was hanging out with the other boy alot more than before...it was a mess, a mess Ryutaro wanted to clean up...

Ryutaro woke up the next morning with a schedule already planned in his head..it was his everyday schedule. The alarm rang, he got up and washed, put his clothes on, fixed his bag, grabbed his scarf and bid his parents goodbye for the day.
"Ryu-chan! Your so slow! I've been waiting for you out here! Its cold you know...", Chinen said with a playful pout
He missed the days they would walk to school together, he would always be scolded for getting dressed up too slow, but just as long as it was Chinen, he was fine with being scolded.
But today, he was walking alone. It's been like this for 2 months now and he just couldn't get used to it, he missed the small figure hugging onto his arm, hiding himself from the cold air.
All this thinking and he just noticed he was already standing infront of his school, he sighed and entered.
"Yama-chan! Here I bought you some strawberries, these are sweet, don't worry!", Great just what he needed to start his day in school. He was disgusted by the way Chinen would act so girly around Yamada, but...was he disgusted? or just Jelous? Well whatever feeling he was experiencing, he ignored it and walked away...
"Ne, Yama-chan...when do you think Ryutaro will stop being mad at me?", Chinen asked with hurt eyes
"I don't know, I guess...soon enough?...", Yamada said sadly as he ate another piece of strawberry, "....I hope we can all be friends again before I leave...", He whispered to himself, "Did you say something Yama-chan?", Chinen asked, "huh? Oh, nothing.."

Ryutaro entered his classroom along with some of his other friends who actually alloted time for him. He took a seat on his usual place, not anymore next to Yamada or Chinen, he was starting to let go....or is he?

Hey Ryutaro! It's Yumi, remember me? I was just wondering if you'd like to hang out with me this tomorrow?I'm going to be in town and hopefully applying at a school near yours, I'll be waiting for your reply Ryutaro-kun! <(^-^)\/
Sure, Ryutaro thought. Whats the problem with going out with a girl wherein you think your having feelings for some other boy? Thats the problem, he is inlove with a boy, but maybe, going out with a girl might change the way he looks at love...he hopes.

After school, Ryutaro went up to the rooftop, he just loves watching the sunset from up there. He thinks alot while staying up there, and right this moment, he may be thinking too much...
"Ryu...", a voice so familiar rang through his ears
"Ryutaro..", wait it can't be...
"C-Chinen..What are you doing up here?", Ryutaro asked, obviously already knowing the reason why
"Ne Ryu-chan! Lets make this rooftop ours after school finishes for each day!, " Chinen exclaimed happily
"...Ours.", Ryutaro repeated
"Like you don't already know...", Chinen said bitterly, not smiling like he used to
"Yo...", a boy from behind him appeared, it was Yamada
"Oh, um, should I leave?", Ryutaro asked not changing his facial expression
"Look, Ryutaro why can't you just talk to us--?", Yamada asked
"I can't, I just can't", Ryutaro said loudly, silencing the two boys infront of him, Chinen looked at him in disbelief at the same time in disgust, when did Ryutaro become so violent? He thought. And without a single word left to utter, Ryutaro went back downstairs shoving Chinen's shoulder on purpose...
Just when Chinen thought he wasn't going to cry, tears fell like waterfalls, Yamada comforted him but to Chinen, it didn't have that caring feel, the caring feel wasn't there....Ryutaro wasn't there.

Ryutaro got home early which shocked his mother, since she was already aware that he'd usually come home around 7 or 8 in the evening, but today he was home at 4. Something is wrong, mothers instincts.
She knocked on his door, greeting him before asking.."Ryutaro, are you feeling ok? Are you sick or something?". No reply. "Ryutaro, tell me, you can tell me, i'm your mother...", Still no reply. She entered the room and saw that he was fast asleep. She tucked him in like what any other mother would do, but just as she was leaving she heard his cellphone ring...out of total curiosity, she flipped it open and saw a text message from Chinen...
From: Chii
Ryutaro....can we talk? please? I don't want you to leave my life...please just talk to me...I know this is a weird way of my confession but.... i've always loved you...eversince the first time we met, I instantly fell for you...I'm hanging out with Yamada alot now because he'll be leaving soon..didn't he tell you? Please just...please...forgive me for whatever made you mad at me, I don't want to be a ghost in your life...I want to be taken care of by you...to kiss me when I feel sad...to hug me when you think i'm lost in life...I just need you by me...Please.
Ryutaro's mother felt hurt herself, she felt the pain of Chinen and she felt bad knowing her son is at fault here. She closed his phone, making sure the message is 'read' already, so that in the future after their problem is solved, he'll see just how desperate Chinen was for his love...
But just as she was about to put the cellphone down, she noticed another message appeared this time from Yumi, "Yumi? I thought she was in America? What does she want with my son?", She asked herself, the message read...
From: Yuu-san
Ryutaro! I can't wait for our date tomorrow! I'm glad you said yes! Hope we'll both have a great time! I'll be waiting for you at the ice cream shop near where we used to play all the time when we were young, hope you don't get lost, bye!
A smirk appeared oh her face, she had a bright idea, brightest yet...

Ryutaro woke up the next day reading the sticky note attached to his bedside drawer, Date with Yumi at 11:00AM. He got up and looked at the clock, eyes went wide when he noticed it was already 10:38. He hurridly got dressed, grabbed his bag, and his scarf before running downstairs, bidding his mother goodbye...
"Have a date?", his mother asked with a smirk on her face while she chopped some lettuce
"Yup! Be back later! Ja!", he closed the door and started running toward his destination

Once he finally reached his destination he look around but saw no Yumi, was she late? *buzz* *buzz*

Hey ryutaro, I got your text yesterday when you said you were cancelling, sorry if I messed up your meeting with someone else, we're leaving today anyways. I'll just see you the next time I come back to Tokyo ok? Sayonara!
Ok, now he was confused, when did he text Yumi that he cancelled his date with her? Since when did his phone text by itself? Or..was he sleepwalking or something? He was confused as hell.
He took a seat on a nearby bench and sighed, he looked at his cellphone once more and closed his eyes...
"Got stood up or something?"...wait that voice..
"Eh..", He looked to his right side, "Chinen what are you doing here?", Ryutaro asked
"You texted me yesterday remember? Or now i'm believing your mom was the one who texted me, the way she texts is the same way my mom does...", Ryutaro looked at him confused
"So you didn't read it?", Chinen asked, not taking one single look at the younger boy due to flushed cheeks
"Read wha--", Chinen couldn't help but kiss the boy, his warm lips felt nice, Ryutaro thought, but wait...If Chinen was kissing him, that meant he likes him back!
"Chinen..I...How?", Ryutaro was confused
"...I've been wanting to tell you this for a long time now, but...you've been ignoring me and then I got scared, knowing you with you forgetting me is the last thing i'd want for to happen, I was confused and scared I talk to myself every night about confessing to you and now I don't know how to put it into words and say it verbally--"
Chinen felt those same lips on his once again, but this time a little more passionate than before. Chinen's eyes fluttered closed, wrapped his hands around Ryutaro's neck, not wanting to break this very kiss, he felt Ryutaro licking his bottom lip and he freely, with no hesitation, allowed Ryutaro to enter. He moaned at the kiss, how did Ryutaro ever learn to kiss this way? Did he kiss another boy or girl before? Or....Am I his first? Those were the very questions lingering in his mind, and it troubled him a bit, but heck he didn't care, he was too into the moment....
Chinen, without knowing much, uttered an "I Love You" right after they broke the kiss. When he realized what he has said he immediately ran behind the nearest tree and crouched down with flushed cheeks.
Ryutaro couldn't help but giggle at the actions the older boy was making...
"Ne, Chinen...look at me", Ryutaro said, crounching down next to the other boy. Chinen nervously faced Ryutaro
"I Love You too..", Ryutaro softly said, before placing a small kiss on his nose
"I-I'm sorry Ryu-chan..", Chinen said
"For what?"
"For not telling you why I was hanging out with Yama-chan more...I'm really sorry--"
"I'm sorry too", Ryutaro turned his head to see Yamada standing right infront of them, dressed as if he was leaving Japan.
"I'm sorry for not telling you that i'm going to be leaving for Osaka and staying there for a while...my uncle died and he was my favorite, I hope you forgive me", Yamada said, extending his hand, but instead recieved a hug, which shocked him a bit but he managed to return it.
"Okay thats enough Yama-chan, off of my Ryu-chan~", Chinen said playfully, tugging on Ryutaro's jacket
"Oi! he was the one who hugged--"
"I'm gonna miss Yama-chan too", Chinen said with a pout while he hugged Yamada tight, much tighter than how Ryutaro hugged him, "I'm gonna miss my strawberry giving friend as well", Yamada smiled, ruffling Chinen's hair after he released his hug.
"Ryutaro you better take care of Chinen now, I need to take care of myself now, that includes buying myself strawberries", Yamada said sarcastically before bidding his best friends goodbye
Ryutaro noticed Chinen leaning on his shoulder as they watched Yamada leave, "Ne, Chinen, wanna go get some ice cream?", Ryutaro asked, placing his arm over Chinen's shoulder, "Ryutaro will pay?", Chinen asked, raising one eyebrow, "Haha, sure, its on me", Ryutaro smiled. He'd make a note to thank his mom when he gets home.
