The beer I had for breakfast was a bottle of Mad Dog, and my 20/20 vision was 50% off

I have discovered that I have a horrible habit of making food or coffee and then forgetting about it. I made ramen noodles the other day and just found them in the microwave, saturated with moisture. I made coffee 2 weeks ago. I forgot about it for  3 days and there was mold. I'm not sure which is worse, though; the fact that I did this or the fact ( Read more... )

I'm glad I read this entry of yours, because it made me realize I had left my coffee pot on since this morning.

Definitely. Indie stores are always worth the extra more in prices. They're higher because they aren't a big nasty corporation and can't buy at huge bulk prices. (Ink is delicious.)

I don't have any Flogging Molly albums, but I do love the Dropkick Murphys who are also angry and Irish, so it's basically the same thing.

Yeah, I just took a nap and had to remember to empty the coffee pot when I woke up. Haha. I don't know why I can't seem to remember it.

*nods* I would much rather spend the extra and deal with awesome people. Flogging Molly are my absolute favorite band. Haha they're super-piratey! Dropkick Murphys kick a metric ton of ass too, though. :)

The ink has turned out to be a lot of fun! I love doing character drawings and designs and similar stuff, and up til now I've just been using gel pens, which, of course, just don't have the same effect and aren't as fun.

Exactly. Real ink is just... richer. I use pens as much as the next person because they are so portable, but most times if I get a drawing I like out of them I always go "Damn, shoulda done that in ink."

Hahaha, "piratey?" Now THAT'S what I look for in a good band, haha! I've heard some Molly and I always think I should go buy an album of theirs, but I do that with so many bands it always falls to the wayside. What album would you recommend?

Honesty time? I have a Dropkick Murphys album because I found it on the ground. I love it, though! It's whoever cast it aside in the street that didn't. >DD

What's crazy is that I have really shaky hands and the real ink has turned out a lot better than when I use pens. *shrugs* Go figure.

Hmmmmm well, of course I think all of their albums are great, but if you want to hear something piratey go get Swagger or Drunken Lullabies. Drunken Lullabies was the first one I bought. :)

That's actually really cool. Definitely a "One man's trash..." sort of thing!

Christ, I know what you mean. It's especially bad with tea for me. I always make tea and leave it out and it pisses out my parents when they want to make coffee in the morning =P

Agreed about the smaller art stores too. I went to one and the owner of the store (this really old intense painter guy) shook my hand cause I was aksing about lessons and he told me I had a fantastic Wal-Mart handshake. I do not know how to respond to that.

If your able to, go buy art supplies online. The only art store in the city that sold copic markers was selling them for $8.60 a marker, so I went to dickblick where everything is literally half the price and even with shipping I spent less than I would've otherwise (and the shipping was kinda big, considerring I live in Canada and stuff). Gene Ha was actually the one who told me to check out the site after he gave me two copics at a con :)

Haha I used to leave apple juice out all the time, too. It grows really interesting molds.

I'll check that out, but I'll have to put money in the bank first haha. I'm really bad about forgetting to do that. I think the copics at this store were something like $6.95, so it probably is completely worth it. (Plus, that is totally awesome.)
