Here is what I THINK the biggest difference in our political viewpoint is, based on reading your LJ, talking to you, etc.: Though we believe the same things are Right and Wrong, I believe the government, based on a strict reading of the constitution, has no business telling anyone else in this country what Right or Wrong is, except in one circumstance. This circumstance is when a person's actions violate someone else's personal rights.

Basically: Just because I think drugs, prostitution, or death matches between consenting adults should be legalized doesn't mean I have any desire to participate in said things, I just don't think our federal government, as defined by the constitution, has any say on if I do them or not.
