20 is such an eternity away from 30, I'd be worried if you were in the same place as you were 10 years ago. Will you go to Japan? Uprooting yourself at 30 and starting over somewhere is a lot harder than when you were younger....especially now that you have a long term bf and pets and whatnot. Even 5 years ago i would've moved back to the UK in a heartbeat-- now, I'm not so sure.

I always enjoy when you write on LJ even though I often hear many of these things in person. I know that writing is hard and scary and you don't always want to do it, but I always enjoy what you write and think you're very good at it, for what that is worth.

Also, congrats on the opportunity in Japan! That's very cool, whether it's something you decide makes sense for you now or not.

10 years is a long time. Hard to believe we've been friends for going on 13 years. And it says wonderful things about you that you keep friends for so long and that friends move here to be closer and stay close even when they're far physically.
