lessons of my freshman year

Ok, so freshman year for me ends in a little less than a month (FUCKING SHIT, WHY CAN'T IT JUST BE OVER???) Anyway, for my personal experience, I fuckin hated most of it. But with a year of experience, I know I'll be able to make it a lot better next year. It was really hard to adapt. It's funny, I said bye to my mom when she left me at the airport ( Read more... )

hooray for introspection. i agree that most of the beer tastes like shit ... and most of my time in frat basements (and most of my time in general) is spent talking about who i think i'd like to bang next. at least here all parties are open and we don't have any bars to drain you (i'm cheap anyway). i'm surprised that you've bumped into a lot of badass-like-dressing people; i guess i just haven't seen that here.

it's interesting what you say about joining a small circle of friends being easier ... i'm still thinking about that.

and this: "4. I really shouldn’t be allowed to talk to girls. They may as well put me in a zoo," is priceless. and now belongs on my fb profile.

but really, i hope things start looking up more as you wrap up the year -- it really might just be a matter of time, to meet the right people, get involved with the stuff that brings you closer to finding your passions, etc.

haha nice entry

I agree with a lot of the things you said, college is definitely a huge adjustment for us all.

But I think everyone just needs to find the right group of people that they fit in with and things usually get better.

Cornell already had two suicides this year, things can get pretty crazy. Just make sure to always keep ur perspective and realize that college is just another stepping stone in life and that good or bad, it's over in 3 more years.
