It had taken the better part of yesterday and today, but Bones had managed to sanitize his new living space. It really was unfair. He had hardly gotten a chance to settle in his dorm room and then he had to up and move somewhere else. And he hadn't even really settled in there. Spock was coming back from a trip outside when he spied one of his cabinmates and decided to make himself known. He was being social. His mother would be pleased. "Greetings," he said to the human. "I am Spock. I am currently dwelling in alcove B4, which, I believe, makes us neighbors after a fashion."

Bones immediately tensed up at the voice and it would just freaking figure he would be living with Spock. Jim would be hearing about this. Loudly.

"I believe it does," he said, trying to maintain civility even though he really just wanted to fall into the usual mood he reserved for Spock. "I'm Doctor Leonard McCoy."

The doctor part was completely unnecessary and he hadn't bothered using it with anyone else but this was Spock and he deserved the formality, dammit.

Spock chose not to comment on any hostility he might be picking up from this person he'd just met. Surely it wasn't because of anything he'd done. "Doctor?" Spock asked. "But you are at a high school."
