Texting while driving is like using a typewriter while driving. So foolish.

Back before texting was so common, work gave us these nifty pagers that could display 4 lines of text. Often, while stopped in traffic (fully stopped, traffic was terrible around there) we would shoot messages back and forth: "Hey how far down are you?" "Can you see where the hold up is?" "I think i see your car!"

This was with a full keyboard, mind you... I couldn't imagine trying that with a phone where you have to press the '3' button 3 times, then the '5' twice, oops that was 3! How do i backspace again...? Even while stopped, waiting for cars in front to start moving again.

My phone is like that too, iestynapmwg. Nowadays the kids are all using the newfangled cell phones with the slide-out full keyboard and tiny, tiny letter keys. Why, when I was their age... (/grandma mode)
