Yes, I know it's been a while, but with limited internet access, it can be difficult to post entries. I always get there in the end, though! Well, tons has happened since Tunisia! I will be on the move (yet again!) at the end of the month! This time I will be moving in with friends for a month or so in London. I did have a few weeks of worry ( Read more... )

Yes, we most certainly must meet up once I'm back in the big smoke! Should be there for a few years. Have sort of given up on the idea of Hatfield (unless I can't find a job - which I doubt, as I'm quite prepared to temp to begin with).

Yo Stephan - you've no idea how many people are also happy you've moved as well ;)

Well, I was a London resident for 13 years (and a Luton resident for less than 2), so at least I have the experience. Never thought I'd be a Londoner again, but I'll get a better job there and it's nearer Sussex, where I'm trying to get back to.

Good luck with the move! London should be more fun certainly.

Hiya

Have tried to reply to you on my mobile and have failed on numerous occasions, but I'm on my computer now, so success. (Sadly no exclaimation mark as I spilt a fruit juice on my keyboard years ago and some of the keys don't work now). Yes, it will be nice to be in London again for a while, but I couldn't live here forever. It is on the way to Sussex, though, which is where I want to end up. Earlier this year, someone was desperate for me to move to London and I kept saying definitely not. Sadly, he died in March. I feel sort of bad that I told him no, but ended up here anyway. Never thought I'd ever live in London again. Living with Howard and Lande for a bit until I get a job and can afford a deposit. So, are you still in Nottingham? How are things going? Do you ever get to London? I haven't seen you in ages.

That's the great thing about Luton, we have an airport, train station (but obviously no more coach station!) so there's always a means of escape.

Obviously being born and bred here I have no desires to leave, but everybody needs to be happy within their surroundings, and you've never been since you moved here!

So good luck with whatever and wherever you move to and hope that you become more settled elseware.

And yeah, we hope to see you back at The Coven (or Thursday Fury) whenever you get chance :)

Thanks Russ! Yes, I think you've hit the nail on the head. As well as all my negative experiences, I have no emotional attachment to Luton. My heart will always be in West Sussex, where I was born and brought up.

Hope your move goes well! I still have some bits for you here (somewhere!) but lack time to get to a PO to send them off. Hmmm, is that an excuse to meet up again when you're settled, I wonder? Hope to be reading/hearing that you're happier and more settled soon. *hugs*.

Got lots of stuff in storage in Luton and am putting more stuff in storage this morning. One of the bus drivers at work is helping me down with stuff at the weekend. What have you still got of mine? We must meet up soon anyway. I'm sure I'll be up your way soon after the move as I want to go and see the Nige! He seems to have fallen out with Django these days, but has become very close to Claire's new kitten, Sabella!
