Why I'm a cheap date.

I had some Absinthe today, mostly just to say I have tried it.

I had a tiny sip on a full stomach, straight up. Turned red. Fell asleep briefly. Was mostly ok afterwards but dehydated some.

Haha, it was blue, there were blue fairies on the bottle. I guess that makes sense.

did you dilute it with water/sugar first?

I love absinthe - but the kind I had was clear (cloudy when diluted)

We diluted it with sugar and water afterward. The kind I had was clear besides the blue coloring and cloudied up with the sugar too. I didn't try the diluted one since I really don't like the licorice taste XD;

Oh i love the licorice taste ^.^ Licorice is the type of thing though that it seems no one is lukewarm on - people either love it or hate it.

I haven't tried it straight, but I bet it was strong! ^.^ I keep meaning to get a bottle of the American wormwood-less stuff, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

It is pretty darn strong! As they say in the Simpsons "it tastes like burning." Though at the same time that kick is kind of fun, hehe. I don't remember the name of this brand, it was something my friend had brought back from Italy.
