Just thought this was comical

How funny. And kind of annoying that I bought one during the Vista time. Although as much horrible stuff as I've heard about Vista, I've never really had any problems with it. I'd still prefer XP, most likely, or the new one if it's as good as I hear, but I'm not tearing my hair out over Vista.

Part of me wonders if my problems are actually coming from my computer itself rather than Vista, because I have heard some say that Vista is really not that bad, but I personally have had many issues with my laptop and it's the only machine I have with Vista on it.

But then I hear others at work talking about problems they are having that they are also attributing to Vista due to issues with their own computers and so I jsut really don't know.

I'm putting Win 7 on the Vista laptop and the new desktop will either be Win 7 or I will do the "optional downgrade" (<-- I love that that's MS's marketing ploy: "optional downgrade") to XP - just depends on which CDs come with my new machine.

At least that way, if I have issues, I'll know without doubt that it's the computer and not the operating system.

It is nice that they give that option. I'd probably downgrade if I could, although upgrading to Win 7 would be preferable; I just don't want to pay for it.
