Random pondering from watching the News

I never used to watch local news. I had cable and therefore watched CNN, MSNBC, and, on occasion, FOX - for the hillarity of their "news" - if there was really an event I found pertinant to MY life, and those events were few and far between so actually I rarely watched the news at all

I'm right with you on not watching the news... I tuned into our local FOX station last week because there was something I wanted to see, and it must have been a SLOW news day, because among all the other stories was one about an elementary-school kid who got his tongue frozen to a pole.
