here's the thing...how did you know when to change paces? the only way i figured out how to time it was to make an mp3 using garage band and loading it onto my ipod. the sing file it starts off with two 2 minute 30 second (exactly) songs for warmup, then goes to a new song for 60 seconds of running, another for 90 seconds power walking, and so on until it's done. it's pretty cool, actually. i'm thinking of making a lot of them and selling them on the couch to 5k website. but if you have other ideas (that don't include wearing a watch because i don't have one and don't think that would be a good system for me) then let me know.
in other news, my quads STILL hurt and i'm jealous of your progress.

Isn't it amazing how hard it is to run for just one minute? I thought I was going to die that first day. (Looking back, I'm pretty sure I was trying to go way too fast.) Even though my current runs are still short and slow, I never thought I'd get where I am now. It's pretty exciting for me. :)
I *so* want to see Special's little legs running. I bet it's super-cute!
