Ooh, that reminds me, I need to sign up! I'll have to get on Kevin too. Good luck with the training, sounds like it's going well so far!

You should definitely sign up ... all the cool kids are doing it!

Did you make it to the grotto meeting? I find this whole leaving-early-for-a-group-run-on-Thursdays thing means I end up working too late on Wednesdays to do anything. :(

Yeah, I went to the meeting portion, but skipped out before the Posse. I don't feel like I know many people well enough to just randomly chat about nothing. It's hard to talk about caving, when not caving very frequently. I did go to the goat cave vertical practice this past Saturday, so I'm trying to get back into it. While there, someone asked me to be in a caving calendar. I almost agreed, until they let me in on the all important nudity detail! I'm not sure I've embraced my inner nude caver quite yet!

Have you ever seen the previous calendars? They're really cool.

If you think about it we both could easily* run 4 miles today if we needed to. Then if you really think about it that's 6-4=2. 2 miles! That's not a lot I could run that right now. So in reality we could run 6 miles ;)

It's all good (I am freaking out also).

*then pass out

Um ... yeah ... four miles, no problem. Then pass out. Sounds doable.

I haven't even run 3 miles since the 5K, and that was almost 2 months ago! It's freaking me out that my runs have actually gotten SHORTER since I've started this training ... most of them have been 20 minutes, which for me isn't even 2 miles! :( But I am running one more day a week, which probably makes up for it. Tonight (and next week) we actually get to run 2.5 miles, and two weeks from tonight we'll move up to three!

I'd been debating running the Mardi Gras 5K this weekend, just to see how the distance felt (and because it's an afternoon race!), but now I think I'm leaning toward sticking to my regular schedule.

I still think we have enough time. I'm really glad you signed up cause it made me sign up and actually start running again instead of saying I was going to and not.

In all actuality you really could run 3 miles this week, if you did it slow and steady.
