Whenever I am challenged in life, I look for sources of inspiration of people who have achieved greatness despite overwhelming odds against them.  Today I found one such source in the story of the new lead singer from the band Journey by the name of Arnel Pineda.

Wow! That is an incredibly moving story and that man has a really incredible gift in his singing! I haven't bought a CD in awhile but I am a big fan of Journey. I grew up with them and with Steve Perry as the singer. I can understand the band's need to move on though and I think they are in good hands. I may have to make the effort to go to a concert again.

I have not gone to many concerts in my life - Journey and Rush are really the only bands I've seen multiple times.

I also grew up listening to those guys, my favorite: Anywhere you want it :)

Which at the time the lyrics was considered controversial, but opened for me a curiosity of the type of D/s eroticism I would not discover for many years to come.

Its funny you mention about going to their concert as my partner and I were also looking their concert schedule as we both want see them in concert.

Alas they are not coming to Seattle any time soon. :(

Then again, maybe that's a good thing. Hopefully the job market will have picked up by then.
