That looks like a good thing to stick in the laptop bag (or whatever). It looks like the plugs rotate so you can accommodate those bulky plugs that some devices like to use -- nice if so. (I finally got myself a power squid for dealing with those, but it's too big to travel well. It's for the home office.)

For years now I've carried a 6-outlet surge-suppressed power strip in my laptop bag, and fellow airport travellers are happy (as in, no objections, horrible or otherwise) to let me temporarily unplug them from the wall so I can share off the strip.

Does look pretty useful.

I've tended to use an in-line surge protector- plugs in between the power brick and the wall (i.e., my laptop has the standard configuration, with one cord leading from computer to brick, and another from brick to wall). This also adds about 6 inches to the length of the power cord, which can be useful on occasion.
